Influenced by the pandemic, the 11th Boulder Startup Week conference is moving to a fully online format. Consequently, BSW’s new theme for the 2020 event schedule is “Service to Community.” As a volunteer on BSW’s Energy Track, I am taking the lead on rapidly adapting our event plans – a live, interactive “Mobility on the Frontline” panel of leaders in energy, local government, and transportation – and a pre-recorded happy hour celebration of Via Mobility Service’s plans to create an off-the-grid mobility hub.
To receive a notification when registration for this free event opens, please connect with me on LinkedIn – or subscribe to my non-threatening, totally casual email newsletter.

The COVID-19 crisis is raising awareness of how connected we are to others in our community and around the world. For many, understanding that the local is now global has increased the urgency around energy, environmental sustainability, and mobility issues. Tune into this lively panel discussion about how the pandemic is impacting Boulder’s frontline workers and what that could mean for mobility and energy in the future.
What’s Boulder Startup Week?
Boulder Startup Week (BSW) is a volunteer-run organization that relies heavily on sponsorships from local companies to enable it to provide the 5-day event-filled week. The board consists of 5 members committed to the BSW vision and is produced by Glider—a Colorado-based community movement that also produces TEDxBoulder, Ignite Boulder, the Boulder Tech Podcast, and WILD. In 2019, BSW hosted more than 200 events and engaged nearly 20,000 international attendees. Learn more.
